It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…or is it? The festive season is one where most of us enjoy the entertainment, food as well as friends and family. The digital world is non-stop though, so we need to make sure we stay in tune with the latest trends, news and innovations.
Our day to day business goes as normal, but we can only celebrate Christmas (and the New Year) during a certain period of time, so let’s take advantage of it. In this read, we’ll try and provide you with some small tips as to how you can digital-up your digital strategy!
Christmas-Up Your Content
Get into the Christmas spirit by aligning your content with the theme. Everyone likes a colourful Christmas tree, a wonderfully wrapped gift or a snowman. This doesn’t have to be content that is created, this could be content in real-time. Instagram stories have become successful, so why not jump on the wagon? A few selfies around the office and your boss dressed as Santa could definitely boost the interaction.
Consider Video
Video has been successful in recent years, and various Christmas ads have been setting the tone for the festive season. According to Oberlo.co.uk, 73% of consumers claim that they have been influenced by a brand's social media presence when making a decision on whether or not to make a purchase. Having an engaging video is bound to bring in even more customers, whilst influencing them.
These are just a few of the tips digital marketers can take whilst preparing for Christmas. Do you have any tips of your own? If so, feel free to share them!
Create a Christmas Campaign
As well as your current campaigns, it could be worth starting a campaign focused mainly on Christmas. It could bring in extra consumers and boost sales greatly. Setting out the strategy for a successful Christmas.
Implementing new ideas for the new season is always an exciting prospect, but also looking back at what you have previously done can help you decide whether much change is needed. Look at what you did well in regards to campaigns, content, and posts the year before. It may be worth recycling content that was a major success as well as creating additional content.
Christmas is a great time of year for all of us involved in the digital world, leaders can network with other leaders at events, more business can be brought in because of the success of Chritsmas, depending on the sector you work in, and of course, the food binge! (A good old fitness run may be on a few of our New Year’s Resolution lists…)
Merry Christmas!
